Fast boats, buzzing helicopters and a secret spy – it’s like something out of a James Bond film. In fact, it is believed that producers of the next Bond film, ‘No Time to Die’, have been filming scenes for the 2020 movie off the Isle of Wight this week.

There has been an unusual amount of activity off of Cowes and Yarmouth over the past few days, with camera-rigged boats and helicopters zooming up and down each day.

Island Echo understands that the filming has been for high-octane scenes in the forthcoming Bond film, which was this week announced as ‘No Time to Die’. It will be released in cinemas across the country on 3rd April 2020.

Several sources say that the filming is being carried out by Warner Bros.

A former Scoot ferries vessel, which is now used as a charter vessel, has been converted to carry a big budget camera jib. A flotilla of other vessels have also been seen in the Solent. It’s understood that the boats are based out of Ocean Village, Southampton for the duration of their filming.

Earlier this year it was rumoured that Navy-like boats were involved in filming other scenes for the film off the coast of Ventnor.

Alex Anderson has shared this video with us, giving a close-up view of the filming and the number of support boats involved.

It’s not a Warner Bros film,it’s Universal who have taken over from Sony for a 1 film deal with options for more.

I thought they were filming Christopher Nolans new movie TENET around Southampton and Solent. Not sure this is correct. They’ve been based at Ocean Village for almost 3 weeks.

I saw them dping some filming. Definitely an action film judging by the fighting. They couldn’t say to us what it was but we’d hear about it at Christmas time.
