The body of a man has been discovered in the back garden of a property in Newport, Police have confirmed.
Armed Response officers were deployed to an address on Pan Close, on Pan Estate, at 15:30 this afternoon (Wednesday), as first reported by Island Echo.
Other emergency services initially rendezvoused near to Barton Primary School before moving in when the scene was declared safe.
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service dispatched 2 ambulance crews, an operational commander and a Critical Care doctor to the incident. It’s understood that the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance was also scrambled, but stood down en-route.
