Police are appealing for witnesses following an alleged assault against a woman in her 40s over the weekend.
Officers received reports that between 19:30 – 20:30 on Saturday 6th December, a woman in her 40s was assaulted around the Jellicoe Road and Broadway Crescent area of Binstead.
As part of their investigations into the incident, a 32-year-old man from Ryde has been arrested on suspicion of intentional strangulation and common assault. He has been bailed with conditions until 6th March 2026 whilst our enquiries continue.
