Motorists heading into Newport from Carisbrooke are experiencing minor delays following a 2 car collision.
Police are on scene at the cross roads between Newport High Street, Drill Hall Road, and West Street where a Ford and a Peugeot have collided.
Significant damage is evident to the Peugeot convertible, which has seen areas of its front bumper crumble along with the front edge of its bonnet.
Meanwhile, the side curtain airbags of the 2020 plate Ford Fiesta have deployed, and a large dent is evident on the drivers side doors.
UPDATE @ 16:50 – Both vehicles have been moved out of the way of the traffic whilst they await recovery.
Traffic is now flowing freely in the area with no further delays to motorists and no injuries are thought to have been sustained in the incident.
