Air ambulance medics have been scrambled to East Cowes this afternoon (Easter Monday) with the yellow and green helicopter landing within the grounds of Osborne House.
For the second time today the flying doctors have deployed to the Isle of Wight – the first time being to assist an 18-month-old girl in Shanklin.
Now, the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance is assisting a poorly patient near to the private beach at Osborne – overlooking Osborne Bay.
The helicopter touched down at 16:25 after leaving it’s base at Thruxton around 16:05.
It’s understood an ambulance and rapid response paramedic from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service responded into East Cowes at around 16:00.
UPDATE @ 17:07 – Less than 40 minutes after touching down, the air ambulance has now lifted off from Osborne – but has not been required to convey the patient to hospital.
The incident is now being stood down.
