Islander Jack Hazlewood has successfully completed his 100km, 100-lap challenge around the canoe lake in Ryde, raising thousands of pounds and awareness for mental health charity, Mind.
Jack ran an impressive total of 62.24 miles on Saturday (10th May), completing the ultra-endurance feat in 10 hours, 39 minutes and 20 seconds.
His average pace across the distance was 10 minutes and 16 seconds per mile.
The challenge saw Jack complete dozens of laps around the well-known Ryde landmark, with friends, family and supporters cheering him on throughout the day.
Jack previously shared that the cause is close to his heart due to his own experiences with mental health struggles. By completing the 100km run, he aimed to show others that even the toughest challenges can be overcome with support and determination.
Final fundraising totals for Mind have not yet been confirmed, but Jack has already raised over £3,100 – more than 3 times his target of £1,000.
Congratulations that deserves another tatt!.
