Firefighters from the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service are responding to reports of a vehicle fire in Brading this lunchtime (Thursday).
1 appliance from Ryde has been mobilised to the scene on Coach Lane after being called at 13:17. Smoke has been seen issuing from the engine bay of a Ford Transit recovery vehicle.
The crew is using 1 hose reel jet to dampen down and cool the engine and frontal areas of the vehicle, and carrying out an inspection to investigate the cause of the fire – and to check that any flames or smoldering material have been fully extinguished.
1 lane of Coach Lane has been blocked by the fire appliance and some traffic delays are expected in the vicinity of the incident as fire crews tend to the vehicle.

Needs a recovery vehicle it’s self now
It’s conner Mitchell’s karma for all the dodgey cars he’s sold
Probably over heated in the traffic jams!
