Yarmouth RNLI’s All Weather Lifeboat launched to assist a yacht off the coast of the Isle of Wight this morning (Wednesday).
Solent Coastguard tasked the search and rescue asset at 09:45 after being alerted to the plight of 2 people on a yacht to the South East of The Needles.
It took just 30 minutes for the lifeboat to reach the broken down yacht, which is understood to have been suffering from propeller issues.
A tow was established and the casualty vessel was taken to the safety of Yarmouth Harbour, arriving alongside the quay at 11:45.
