IW Met Service have issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain across the Isle of Wight tomorrow evening (Monday) and overnight into Tuesday.
Forecasters say a spell of heavy and potentially thundery rain will move up from the south during Monday evening and overnight into Tuesday.
Within the rain area there is the risk of localised thunderstorms developing at times and although large amounts of lightning is not expected, it may still be an additional hazard if one of these areas crosses the island.
Rainfall totals of between 10mm and 20mm are possible with localised amounts up to 30mm.
There is a chance that the heaviest rain may pass to the east of the Island. Further updates are expected.
The warning is in force from 19:00 on Monday 24th June until 06:00 on Tuesday 25th June.
