Showers are likely to develop this afternoon and where they do there is the risk of localised flash flooding due to the slow moving nature of these showers. However, IW Met Service say many places will miss these heavy showers altogether.
Rainfall amounts will vary with many places receiving less than 1mm but a few localised spots could see up to 20mm or possibly more.
The highest risk areas are in more Central, Northern and Western parts of the Island with areas further South and East likely to miss out. This could mean that the Isle of Wight Festival site receives a drenching.
Forecasters also say there is a risk of hail and thunder.
Today’s yellow weather warning is in force from 13:00 until 01:00 tomorrow morning.
