59-year-old Andrew Taylor is this week starting a 40-month prison sentence for offences of voyeurism and taking 75 indecent images of children.
Taylor, of Woodside Close in Northwood, set up a secret camera and took photos and videos of women getting changed on dates between December 2018 and January 2021. He used the images to masturbate to but told Police he didn’t use the videos he’d taken for sexual gratification.
His perversions were found out when images were discovered in the deleted folder of his iPad.
Taylor appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court in October and pleaded guilty at the first opportunity to 6 charges of voyeurism and 1 of taking indecent images of children. The case was adjourned to the Crown Court for sentencing, where he appeared to find out his fate on Tuesday.
Having heard from both the defence and the prosecution, Recorder Malcolm Gibney sentenced Taylor to a total of 40 months behind bars and made him subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for life. He was also ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register.
