VANDALS DAMAGE EMERGENCY TELEPHONE AT BEMBRIDGE LIFEBOAT STATION

An emergency telephone attached to the RNLI’s inshore lifeboat station at Bembridge has been damaged by vandals overnight.

The lifeboat’s coxswain and mechanic arrived at the station on Lane End this morning (Tuesday) to find the external telephone smashed to pieces.

Unfortunately, the damage has also rendered the station’s landline inoperable.

The emergency telephone is in place to allow members of the public to quickly contact the Coastguard.

Might be the same group of scumbags causing trouble in Ventnor and Newport.

How about someone puts up a reward that leads to the arrest of person(s) involved. Then name and shame on the front page of the County Press.
We need to take back control!

maybe one day these low lives will need emergency help and it won’t be available as they smashed the phone. Horsewhip them, bet their family would be so proud of them.

Pity we can’t damage them. Perhaps they will want rescuing one day and some idiot has smashed the emergency phone.

Wouldn’t it be a shame if the same persons, or their family and friends were to get into difficulty at sea.

For the very reason that YOU and I react. Without being vile, these beings would have NO attention or fame at all.

So, trying to be a mini celeb, the only way they can obtain such short lived attention is to do something vile, knowing they won’t ever get caught, and IF they did would not pay or do any sentence for such.

So to them, Why not? If someone they will never know dies, then to such minds, even more fame, albeit remote, but can brag to other similar types, ‘I caused that to happen’, hence they video the vile things they do. Only way of acheving anything in a pointless life.

Check out the vandal who has been in trouble before in the village for such damage, not hard to spot in a crowd of youngsters either.
