A van has crashed and rolled onto its side on Middle Road at Shalcombe this afternoon (Christmas Eve).
The incident has occurred on Newport Road between the junctions of Broad Lane and Brook Road.
It’s understood the vehicle has come to rest on the Freshwater-bound side of the carriageway
Police are in attendance with officers directing traffic in both directions.
No one is thought to have been trapped or seriously injured.
UPDATE @ 16:36 – Police have confirmed they were called at 14:34.
No one was injured in the crash and the vehicle has now been recovered.
The road is now clear.
