Firefighters from Newport and East Cowes have responded to a tumble dryer fire at a property in Carisbrooke this afternoon (Friday).
2 appliances were mobilised to a property on Alvington Road at 16:50 following reports that an appliance had caught fire.
Newport wholetime’s appliance was quickly on scene and confirmed that the small fire was out upon arrival, leading to the second pump being stood down whilst en-route.
The property has been ventilated and the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service have now stood down from the incident.
