A last minute fog warning has been issued for the Isle of Wight by local forecasters IW Met Service tonight (Monday).
The warning comes into force in just a couple of hours time and is valid from 01:00 until 09:00 tomorrow (Tuesday).
Islanders are warned that fog patches will develop during the early hours of Tuesday morning, some becoming dense locally, especially in low lying rural parts away from the south of the Island.
Significantly reduced visibility will lead to hazardous driving conditions locally, along with sudden and expected reductions in visibility whilst travelling, especially undulating routes which have a mixture of high and low elevation
Travel and transport delays are likely, including to cross-Solent travel – especially Red Funnel services.
