A children’s therapist is being investigated after a 15-year-old child was left distressed after the qualified individual allegedly discussed intimate masturbation habits during therapy sessions.
The incident is alleged to have taken place across multiple sessions between the therapist, who can’t be named for legal reasons, and the young person.
It is claimed that the therapist engaged in conversations of a sexual nature, including talking in detail about how they masturbated in the bath. The child was also allegedly encouraged to drink alcohol to ‘cope with their problems’.
The therapist is said to have ignored repeated requests from the child to stop discussing such topics, including about marriage and children.
Island Echo understands that the sessions left the child extremely ‘distressed’.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust has stressed that the safety and wellbeing of service users is its priority.
A spokesperson for the Trust has said in a statement:
“We are aware of concerns raised about a member of staff.

“We are now investigating to establish the full circumstances.
“We are unable to comment further while the investigation takes place.”

Surely that’s made up. If there’s only the child’s account of this i’m not sure, i believe any therapist would advice this to anyone let alone a 15 year old that isn’t legally aloud to drink!?

No way wld I ever entertain working in an environment like this. Yes, that therapist cld be a raving pervert. Or, that cld be a severely damaged youngster making accusations. Minefield.
