Technical issues have forced Red Funnel to cancel a number of their sailings on the East Cowes-Southampton route today (Thursday).
The 14:00 and 17:00 from Southampton have been pulled, as well as the 15:30 and 18:30 from East Cowes.
It is unknown what exactly has caused the service disruption and whether the issues will continue into tomorrow.
UPDATE @ 16:15 – Wightlink have also been hit by technical gremlins this afternoon.
Due to a mechanical issue with an essential piece of equipment on board one of their ships, Wightlink have cancelled the 16:00 sailing from Lymington and the 17:05 sailing from Yarmouth.
Strange all these ‘Technical issues’ !!
Why can’t they tell us what the ‘technical issues’ are? I cannot see a good reason why not? It is like they are trying to hide something ???
