St Catherine’s School is to host their Christmas Fundraising Market at St Catherine’s Church in Ventnor next month. With over 30 sellers this is a great chance to come along and support small businesses. With some surprise visitors coming along on the day for the children you can sit and have a warm drink and mince pie in the church café, supporting warm spaces. The Raffle already has a great selection of prizes generously donated by local businesses. The Christmas Tree Festival – which will also be at the church – provides a great chance to come along and have a look at the beautifully decorated trees. The market will open at 10:30 and close at 16:00. The Lantern Parade will assemble on the Green in Dudley Road from 16:30 and make its way to Ventnor Park from 17:00 – led by Santa. Carols in the Park starts at 18:00 and will feature many of your festive favourites. Tanya Smith – St Catherine’s Fundraising and Marketing Assistant – has said:
“Every Year Christmas in Ventnor is a great event, for the second year St Catherine’s School are excited to be hosting their Christmas Market. “Pop in see what we have on offer, have a hot chocolate in the church café and meet some special characters who will be coming along on the day and listen to the stories by story teller Sue Bailey.
