Residents in the Cowes, East Cowes and Gurnard areas of the Isle of Wight are encouraged to come and find out the latest about what Southern Water is doing to reduce storm overflows. The water company’s Clean Rivers and Seas Task Force is holding a drop-in session on Tuesday 19th March at Cowes Community Club at Park Road, Cowes. The Isle of Wight is home to 1 of Southern Water’s 6 schemes that focus on reducing storm overflows through nature-based and engineering solutions. The event which is to be held between 18:00 and 20:00 will focus on what activity the team is doing to slow the flow of rainwater entering sewers.
