Joshua Scrivener from Southern Vectis is celebrating this week, after being named among the top drivers at leading operating group Go South Coast.
The local bus driver competed against colleagues from sister operators across the south – including the cream of the crop from Salisbury Reds, Southampton’s Bluestar and Unilink, Swindon’s Bus Company and Morebus in Bournemouth and Poole.
Placing Joshua 2nd overall, judges based their decision on a range of criteria – including drivers’ professionalism at work and stand out skills during manoeuvres at a special event.
Commercial Rirector of Go South Coast, David Lee-Kong, has said:
“We are justifiably proud of our drivers across all Go South Coast operators, so the top two of this annual award have to be very special.
“I’m delighted for Joshua. To be placed higher than all but one of our Go South Coast drivers is an amazing achievement.
Joshua Scrivener added:
“We are blessed with many great drivers across the company, and this was a really tough competition,” he said.
“I’m thrilled to have been given this recognition – and I’m definitely planning to go one better and work towards the number one spot next time.”
The top 5 drivers from Go South Coast will be put forward to take part in a national event, due to take place in Blackpool this September.
