Members of the public alerted the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service to a small field fire in Totland earlier on this evening (Monday).
1 appliance from Freshwater was mobilised to the Summers Lane area in the West Wight at 18:32.
The single crew used 2 hose reels to extinguish the fire and damp down the affected areas, which measured 10m x 2m and 5m x 2m.
Firefighters spent around 30 minutes on scene before returning to station.
