A sailor with a dislocated knee was transferred off of a yacht and into an awaiting ambulance in Cowes this morning (Saturday).
Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Team were tasked at 11:17 to assist with transferring the injured crew member from the vessel at Trinity Landing.
With the assistance of volunteer crew members from Hamble Lifeboat the individual was successfully stretchered off the boat, into the ambulance and conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital, Newport.
