76-year-old Stuart Gaffon from Ryde has appeared in court charged with a number of child sex offences including buggery, indecent assault and possessing over 3,000 indecent images of children.
Gaffon, of Somerset Road, appeared before Croydon Magistrates Court on 6th December where a total of 11 charges were put to him, including 2x indecent assault on a boy, 2x incite a boy to commit an act of gross indecency, gross indecency with a boy, inciting a boy to commit an act of gross indecency and male person commit buggery with a boy.
The pensioner is also accused of taking indecent photographs of a child, namely 64 Category A images, 265 Category B and 2,724 Category C images.
The offences are alleged to have occurred in the London area in the 1980s and 1990s, with the indecent images located at his home address on or before April 2018.
The matter has been sent up to Kingston upon Thames Crown Court, where Stuart Gaffon will appear on 3rd January. He is on bail until that time.
