Ryde Harriers took part in the Ryde 10 on Sunday 27th of June, with their runners scoring a series of new personal bests.

The race began at 10:00 from Ryde Rowing Club. The course covered some of the most beautiful scenic parts of the island covering Ryde, Puckpool, Seaview, St Helens, Nettlestone, Seaview and back to Ryde.

There were 166 participants from local running groups and groups more afar from Hedge End running Club and Fareham. 33 of the Harriers took part in the race with 5 of the Harriers coming in the top 10.

Joseph Wade came in 1st position in an impressive 54:39 minutes and Gary Marshall 3rd with a time of 56:42, Adam Tuck followed in 5th position in a time of 58:14, Simon pilcher 6th in 1:00:02 and Richard Brownrigg 7th with a time of 1:03:27.

Trish Train, Jodie Wilmott and Liz Parkes came 2nd in the Womens Team with a score of 15. There was also a new record for Peter Young who finished in 26th position in 1:15 minutes.

Graham Gardner (1:10:56) and Sian Savin (1:30:01) also achieved their personal bests.
