A Newport man who shouted sexualised comments at his neighbour, but claimed in court that he couldn’t remember doing so, has been handed a 2-year restraining order.
David Frampton, of Sydney Close in Newport, appeared before the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court on Tuesday having been charged with harassment and remanded in custody overnight.
Liz Miller, prosecuting, explained in graphic detail what Frampton shouted at his neighbour, including “I want to f*** you” and “I want to stick my **** up your ***” – the latter of which was said in front of young children.
The comments were made on 11th August and 13th August when Frampton was intoxicated.
Defending, Oscar Vincent said his client had immediately expressed extreme embarrassment at the situation and was horrified at the detail of what he had said. Frampton is said to have been apologetic and remorseful during interview and wished to apologise to his neighbour, showing deep shame for his behaviour.
Mr Vincent told the court that David Frampton has an alcohol dependency and his life is somewhat spiralling out of control.
Magistrates issued a 2-year community order, a 2-year restraining order and ordered Frampton to pay £100 compensation, £85 costs and a £95 surcharge.
excuse making drunk. yet another deadbeat trying to blag his way out of the consequences of his dreadful behaviour by blaming everything except himself.
This sort of thing has been going on for years. Only have to say alcohol dependency and we are all supposed to feel sorry for them and the do gooders insist it must be treated like an actual illness.
The world health organisation classified alcolism as a disease in 1972, l myself would rather be diagnosed with cancer then this dredfull disease, then at least they may get some sort of empathy instead of waking up every day wishing you was dead and people treating you like a piece of shite, you should stop and think before making such judgements, and yes, I am a do-gooder,and proud of it !
Let all the alcoholic and drug addicts have their own little ghetto areas where they can all live together. That way, the rest of us will know not to go there and bother them. But no, the do gooders want them living among everybody else and causing stress and bother to them by their behaviour. They affect other people in averse ways, that is the main problem. It’s either people they know and care about them and so worry as a result, or other people get affected by their bad behaviour. Drunks who don’t adversely affect other people are rare. My grandmother drank whole bottles of whiskey but I never saw her drunk or adversely affecting anyone else, she could handle it and took it for her arthritis, but was always nice. That is the difference, people who can’t handle drink, should not drink and if they can’t stop, keep away from other people and only mix with others like themselves. I don’t see anything wrong with that, Keep to their own kind. People are happier that way.
Judging by the language from kids today, young kids not teenagers, I’m sure they’ve heard and use far worse.
A few years ago, one of the rough types kids in the area, a girl of about 3 or 4 it looked like, shouted at her father to p*** off and called him a f**** c*** when he called after her and told her to wait as she was racing ahead on her little kids tricycle.
Hang on isn’t this the same man that threatened to knock out a teacher about 2 months ago?
A man who threatened to ‘knock out’ the headteacher of an Isle of Wight Secondary School before driving himself and his young son home has appeared before Isle of Wight Magistrates.
The court heard that 49-year-old David Frampton of Sydney Close, Newport, was ‘very regretful’ for the incident on the 2nd February which saw him attend the school and attempt to take his son home.
Teaching staff at the school, including its Head Teacher, tried to prevent him from removing his child after noticing his drunken state. It was at this point that Frampton became verbally abusive and made the threat
How many offences before someone is put away? Drink driving; threatening/abusive/insulting words or behaviour; resisting arrest; biting a Police Constable on the leg; common assault and actual bodily harm; threatening to assault a Head Teacher and now this. And yet people (e.g. Michael ling) still offer excuses for him on here?
