Red Funnel is advising customers of cancellations on their hi-speed Red Jet Service this morning (Friday).
The 06:45 crossing from West Cowes to Southampton has been cancelled, alongside the 07:15 from Southampton and also the 07:45 from West Cowes.
A technical issue is being blamed for the disruption to the advertised timetable.
UPDATE @ 07:54 – The 08:15 from Southampton and the 08:45 from West Cowes have now also been cancelled.
Red Funnel apologises for any inconvenience to your journey.
UPDATE @ 08:40 – It has now been announced that the Red Jet service between West Cowes and Southampton has been suspended in its entirety due to a technical issue.
The cross-Solent operator has failed to expand on what the issue is, but it is understood Red Jet 6 has broken down whilst docked at West Cowes. This means the service is unable to operate until the vessel has been removed.
UPDATE @ 10:29 – Red Jet will resume with a 1-boat service at 10:45 from Southampton and 11:15 from Cowes.
It has been confirmed that a single boat service will operate for the remainder of the day due to a technical issue with Red Jet 6.
