Cross-Solent operator Red Funnel is launching a new website next month which will enable online booking amendments and a payment plan option, but it means the current site will be offline for 15 hours.
The new website will not only have a fresh look, but it will be faster and easier to navigate. What’s more, customers will be able to cancel bookings online as well as amending details such as name and registration plates. The booking and checkout process will be improved overall, with easier ability to add on extras.
In the coming weeks and months, the ability to amend the date or time of a ferry booking will become available online, as well as a payment plan option.
To facilitate the transition to the new website, www.redfunnel.co.uk will be offline from 21:00 on Tuesday 7th November until midday on Wednesday 8th November. During this time, the contact centre will be open but no new bookings can be made over the phone and no changes can be made to existing bookings.
Those who are planning to travel with a vehicle on 7th or 8th November are being urged to book in advance. However, those who turn up at the terminal without a booking will still be able to travel but there is no guarantees that there will be space on board.

A spokesperson for Red Funnel has said:
“Our team is ‘all hands on deck’ to make the transition to our new website as smooth as possible. Should we encounter any delays or difficulty, we do appreciate your patience and understanding.
“We thank you for your support as we progress with this exciting upgrade. We remain committed to the continuous improvement of our website, and this first batch of changes is just the start of better things to come!”

You know the ferry prices are outrageous when they start offering you a loan to pay for it.
All part of the ‘Brittan for sale’ project started by thatcher in the 80’s. Is going to get worse. The only people that will be able to afford to use the ferries will be councillors, MP’s, pushers and gypos.
Presumably coinciding with your inability to spell and apply grammar correctly whilst stereotyping and employing racist language.

Remember the last time Red Funnel had to work on their computer system? It took them two years to reactivate passengers accounts. And they reckon this new site will be up and running in hours – can’t wait.
They will be offering mortgages to cross the water soon
Or … you could employ more staff Or … You could look at making your prices more affordable for Islanders
The trouble is that, like many employers, they just cannot get the staff. Why work their anti social hours and put up with the abuse that should be directed further up the managerial chain when you could get nearly as much in benefits while sitting on your backside at home
They can’t get the staff because they expect applicants to have a university degree just to direct traffic.
The “sneak peek” is fuzzy, confused and useless. How appropriate.

Lol
WHY NOT DO SOME BOGOFF DEALS INSTEAD
Build a Tunnel or a Bridge, then these overpriced Ferry Companies
won’t be needed.
Payment plan prove how extortionate the fares are
