Red Funnel’s vehicle ferry service is facing delays and cancellations today (Saturday) due to what is reported to be a fuel pump issue on board one of the company’s ferries.
The 06:00 sailing from Southampton was cancelled earlier this morning alongside the 07:30 from East Cowes, resulting in delays to the cross-Solent service.
Now, it has been announced that the 09:00 sailing from Southampton has been pulled alongside the 10:30 from East Cowes.
It is unknown at this time if there will be any further cancellations as the day goes on.
Red Funnel say that those travelling today can expect delays of 1 hour.
UPDATE @ 11:24 – A 3-boat service will resume at 12:00 from Southampton and 13:30 from East Cowes.
Delays of around 1 hour are still likely for all booked traffic due to backlog of traffic.
Red Funnel apologise for any inconvenience to your journey
