Police are appealing for the public’s help in locating 45-year-old Christopher Wray, who has gone missing from his home in Freshwater.
Chris was last seen around 01:00 today (Monday), with both the Police and his family extremely concerned for his welfare.
Officers have been carrying out extensive enquiries to locate the recruitment consultant, particularly in the Mottistone and Brighstone Forest areas. It is here that his vehicle has been found parked at Mottistone Manor car park.
As previously reported by Island Echo, Police and WightSAR are conducting a sweep of the vast open area with the assistance of the National Police Air Service helicopter from Oxfordshire.
Chris is described as being white, around 5ft 7ins tall, of slim build with grey hair.
If you have seen Christopher or have any information on his whereabouts, then call Police on 101 quoting the reference 623 of today’s date.
UPDATE @ 17:40 – Christopher has been successfully located, according to Police.
It’s understood he is being taken to meet Police at Strawberry Lane.
UPDATE @ 18:40 – A spokesperson for WightSAR has this evening said:
“Good news to report this evening.
“Our misper Chris Wray has been located safe and well by one of our foot search teams and is now in the care of IOW Ambulance service.
