Following complaints of increased Anti-Social Behaviour in and around the Ryde Town and the Esplanade areas, there will be an enhanced Police presence this weekend.
Additional officers will be patrolling the town and Police will be seeking to combat Anti-social behaviour.
Section 35 of the Anti-social behaviour, crime and policing act 2014, provides Police with powers to disperse persons from a locality for up to 48hrs, if there is a likelihood of anti-social behaviour .
If you are a parent, guardian or carer of a young person likely to be out this weekend, please advise them to stay safe, not to consume alcohol if they are underage and if they are concerned about anything at all, to stop and speak to a police officer.
