Police have cordoned off a number of hedges as part of an investigation into an incident that took place in Oakfield late last night (Monday).
Officers responded to Oakvale sometime before midnight when multiple calls were received about violent disorder breaking out.
Now, as part of the investigation into the incident, a number of hedges have been sealed off in the hopes of locating evidence potentially hidden within.
Island Echo understands last night’s incident has ties to other recent, notable crimes.
Witnesses say that a number of people were present with 2 people carrying what appeared to be weapons – a chainsaw and a metal pole with ‘something sharp’ taped to the end.
Hampshire Constabulary has been approached for a statement.
UPDATE @ 12:40 – Police have confirmed that 2 arrests have been made.
