Shanklin used to be a beautiful safe place,
sadly not any more.
Years ago a dear friend of mine used to live
nr St Paul’s Crescent and used to park their
car there and leave it unlocked.
Those were the days, the good old days, nowdays
even though the Police station is round the corner
people don’t rsspect law and order.
Where did it all go wrong!
People leaving cars unlocked wasn’t ‘law and order’, it was luck. Crime hasn’t suddenly appeared, you’re just hearing about it more now. One incident doesn’t mean the whole place has fallen apart.”
Such crimes on the island would never have
happened over 30 – 40 years ago.
Nowdays crimes are common.
Who can blame them, have you not seen the tailbacks
in LAKE due to traffic lights not working for nearly
6 weeks.
Well done Island Echo, you can’t be everywhere at once.
