A 42-year-old man from Ryde is being questioned by Police as part of an investigation into a non-recent child sex offence.
Officers attended an address in the town at just before 09:00 this morning (Thursday) and made a swift arrest.

A short search of a property was carried out with evidence bags taken away.
The detained individual remains in custody at this time, where a decision will soon be taken on whether to release, charge or continue questioning the suspect.
