A woman being taken seriously unwell in unexplained circumstances led to Police erecting a cordon around a property in Newport yesterday afternoon (Wednesday), it has been confirmed.
As first reported by Island Echo, Police cordoned off a home and garden on Argyle Road with officers remaining on scene throughout yesterday evening.
Now, Hampshire Constabulary has confirmed that the property was being treated as a potential crime scene after the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service alerted Police to a woman becoming seriously unwell at the address.
Police were contacted at 13:54 yesterday afternoon.
The woman was taken to St Mary’s Hospital, Newport. Her condition is unknown.
Police say that enquiries have now concluded and there is nothing further for officers to investigate at this time.
