Police have confirmed that the death of a man at Landguard Manor in Shanklin on Friday is being treated as non-suspicious.
As previously reported by Island Echo, Emergency services were called to the scene off Landguard Manor Road shortly before 10:25 that morning (14th April) after a body of a male was discovered.
Despite the presence of multiple resources from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service, nothing could be done to save the man’s life – a cordon around the surrounding area was erected soon after.
Detectives from Newport CID spent a while at the scene as they worked out what exactly occurred.
It has been confirmed that death is being treated as non-suspicious.
A file is being prepared for the coroner.
