The brand new Polestar 2 electric vehicle will be unveiled in its Island debut at the forthcoming IW Chamber Business EXPO, taking place at the Lakeside Park Hotel on Wednesday 22nd September – where 1 lucky visitor will also win exclusive use of the car for the weekend.
The all-electric Polestar 2 is being brought to the Isle of Wight for this official Polestar event by Paul and Nancy Thorley, founders of Cowes-based Vehicle Consulting Solent.
Polestar is a premium performance Swedish automobile brand focused on electric vehicles (EV’s). The marque was launched in 2017 as a Scandinavian rival to Tesla, bringing an impressive blend of Swedish style, quality, safety and ability along with premium specifications.
Paul Thorley, of Vehicle Consulting Solent comments:
“This is a huge massive coup for us and the island, to get such an amazing, valued and rare car here exclusively. It shows the relationships myself and Nancy have built up over the past 20 years across the motor industry. Something we use daily to bring the very best in EV’s for drivers and businesses across the island.”
Following its Island debut at EXPO, the car will be available for viewings and test-drives through Vehicle Consulting Solent. Call 01983 632652 or visit www.vehicleconsultingsolent.com.
As you would expect for such a rare and ground-breaking vehicle, demand to see and test-drive the car is expected to be high from private owners and businesses looking to lease or buy the Polestar 2.
The Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce Business EXPO event takes place between 10:00-16:00 at Lakeside Park Hotel, Wootton on Wednesday 22nd September. Free entry.
Very nice. But we need electric public transport that is cheap or free. Also for people who need a car we need the sub 10k priced cars. EV’s need a lot less parts to build so should be doable. But building more cars is not the answer. Imagine all the busses electric and free. A lot less drunk drivers too. Who will pay? Maybe stop giving our tax money to foreign big businesses and spend it on the people who pay it.
Actually they are made in PR China and Polestar are owned by PR China Group Geely.
unless it cost a grand and will do 650 miles between “fill ups” its no good to me, diesel rules!
Sadly the rich know that the UK’s population thanks to their ‘cheap labour’ policies is over full. They know that now it will be impractable for all people to ‘expect’ to own a private car, so, they will force the majority to travel with the low life s ex offenders, muggers, etc on Electric public tansport, thus making the roads quiter for the well to do to travel upon.
They will price us out of petrol and diesel by ‘using’ the ‘damage to the planet’ to quash any complaints and the thick will fall for it. Watch, and learn
And it will probably have to go back to China for any breakdowns.
Overpriced rubbish that will be obsolete by 2030, the date that new petrol and diesel cars will “supposedly” be banned, because hydrogen vehicles will be replacing them. I will keep my lovely “dirty diesel” thanks as I can travel wherever I want without the need for stops to “recharge”. I also believe that petrol and diesel vehicles will continue to be manufactured and sold in the UK long after 2030 as there will be insufficient infrastructure for alternative vehicles. As for using dirty, smelly, unreliable and inconvenient public transport, never!
Stick to my trusty diesel landrover thanks . 27 years old and still going strong .
Prices from ÂŁ39,900 (according to their website). I will stick with my Fiesta thanks.
