A person on the train track in Ryde has prompted the response of emergency services this evening (Friday).
Island Line trains between Ryde and Shanklin have been suspended following reports of an elderly man on the tracks.
2 police vehicles are parked up on Smallbrook Lane with the incident reported to be between Ryde St John’s and Smallbrook Junction.
Police are currently in position at the Smallbrook humped back bridge.
The incident was called in by a concerned member of the public.
UPDATE @ 20:45 – Police are now departing the scene and trains are once again operating on the network.
