And the crazy drive to force people to drive ev’s continues, the supply grid is buckling under current demand let alone adding more ev chargers plus ev’s are far more polluting to manufacture and run than ordinary vehicles, they are far heavier thus causing more damage to the road structure, they emit more fine particles such as brake dust and micro particles from tyres, in a crash / fire situation they are many times more dangerous than petrol or diesel vehicles plus the mining of lithium and Cobalt destroys vast areas of, usually poor, third world countries and finally there are no facilities in place to dispose and treat safely the life expired batteries.
SEE the real reason. HMG know that with our ever increasing population that car ownership for the masses could never be allowed to continue. Imagine if all these illegals and their offspring all end up in cars as well as our own.
So what to do? IF they out and out banned cars, the public would vote them out, so this is getting rid by stealth. Making it more difficult to park, more costly, forcing fuel prices higher, increasing pollution charges etc etc.
Eventually only the top people will drive, then on quiet roads, whilst plebs wobbly about on silly E-scooters or in public transport with the lowest of the low abusing, robbing molesting etc etc. That’s your child’s future. Be warned
