Despite the cold weather we’ve seen this week and the chilly weather forecasted for parts of next week, we are very unlikely see any snow on the Island according to local weather forecaster IW Met Service.
In what has already been a cold to the month of March, from Tuesday, temperatures will drop to the lowly single figures.
The coldest spells of the week will be overnight on Tuesday when the mercury will fall to around 1c and overnight on Wednesday temperatures might drop below freezing in some places on the Island but weather forecaster Jamie Russell has said that any chance of snow is ‘very unlikely’.
There is a small chance that sleety showers may be seen on the Island on Wednesday, whilst rain looks like it could make an appearance later on in the week when the temperature begins to rise once again.
Gritting lorries were out and about on the Island’s roads last week and it very likely that Island Roads will out and about on salting runs in the week to come.

Good. We don’t want snow in March! We all need to look forward to Spring, warmer weather, changing the clocks so the evenings are lighter for longer. Yeah!
