MURDER SUSPECT BAILED BY POLICE AS INVESTIGATION INTO WOMAN’S DEATH CONTINUES

An Isle of Wight man who was arrested on suspicion of murder earlier this week has been bailed until next month, Police have confirmed.

The unnamed male, aged in his 60s, was detained by Police in Yarmouth on Monday evening as part of a recently launched murder investigation.

Emergency services were called to an address on the High Street on 22nd September following reports that a woman had been taken seriously ill. She was conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital in Newport where she later died.

The death wasn’t initially treated as suspicious, but enquiries have since raised red flags and a murder investigation has been launched as a result, as exclusively reported by Island Echo.

Searches of a High Street property took place on Monday evening and into Tuesday whilst detectives questioned the suspect.

It has now been confirmed that the male has been bailed until 8th November.

Anyone with information can call Police on 101 quoting Operation Caelum – 44210380671.
