The Needles Coastguard Rescue Team, the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service and the West Wight-based Co-Responder were called to The Needles to assist with a medical incident this afternoon (Tuesday).
Multiple agencies were requested on scene near to the Old Battery after a woman slipped and injured her hip sometime around 17:00.
The patient was stretchered to an awaiting ambulance for onward conveyance to St Mary’s Hospital, Newport.
