End2End – an exhilarating cycling challenge across the Isle of Wight – is back for 2019.
The on and off-road ride, held in aid of Mountbatten, returns on 22nd September with 3 routes available to suit cyclists of all abilities.
Experienced riders can test themselves on the 92km course from Culver to the Needles Old Battery and back, taking in peaks of up to 150 metres.
The option to finish at the Needles, a distance of 44.9km, is available or riders can choose the shorter 23km route, either Culver to Gatcombe or Gatcombe to the Needles.
Hannah Joyce, major events fundraiser at Mountbatten, said:
“This is a very special challenge, as it’s a testing but stunning course.
“It shows the Island at its best and there is something for everyone, from the novice to the most experienced cyclists.
“Money raised from entry fees goes towards our work supporting people experiencing death, dying and bereavement, so not only is it a great challenge, it’s also helping us make a difference.”
End2End’s founder, David Isaac, a doctor at Mountbatten, and his wife Jane, will once again host the popular Snowdrop Cottage checkpoint at their home in Gatcombe, providing a feast of food and refreshments to cyclists on all routes.
