A motorcyclist has been injured following a road traffic collision on Military Road near Brook this afternoon (Saturday).
Police have confirmed they were called at 12:18 to a single vehicle collision involving a motorbike.
Details of the rider’s injuries are unknown at this time but it is known that the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service responded to the scene.
Island Roads have been called to clear debris from the carriageway and the motorcycle is being recovered.
UPDATE @ 15:05 – A man in his 50s has been conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital.
His injuries are not life-threatening.

“Single Vehicle” – no other vehicle was colided with therefore it must have been some other object.

He’s got serious spine damage and expected broken neck .
