Police on the Isle of Wight have been alerted to yet another motorcycle theft – this time from a car park in Sandown.
The owner of a Kymco 125cc motorcycle – HW18 BBU – has taken to social media in a bid to locate his stolen vehicle, which was taken from St John’s Road car park, next to The Old Comical pub, at some point between Thursday night and Friday morning.
Island Echo has reported on 3 known motorcycle thefts on the Island this week, plus the theft of a motorcycle from Ashey in Ryde just 2 weeks ago. It’s also known that a scooter was taken from a car park in Brading recently and later found burnt out at Yaverland.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Tom on 07542688979. Alternatively, information can be passed to the Police on 101.

Mainland gang ???? Search all vans leaving the island on the ferries, quick look in the back with a torch wouldn’t take to long before they board.
Hope they get caught up with on a dark night, in some parts of the world they would get there hand cut off.
Possible, the only people who can afford to use the ferries are criminals and politicians.
Bas___ people need the bikes to get to work you low life need to get off your a__ and get a job and buy a bike instead of nicking some one elses .yea definitely mainland criminals
The police will do nothing other than issue a crime number. IE Your strapline says this has “prompted an investigation” – yet your text merely assets they have been alerted – which is it IE? Can you at least get the basic facts right?
I can 100% guarantee the police will not investigate this – I speak from direct personal experience.
I expect the scum will strip them down and sell the parts, we live in a lawless nation now because we are woke and weak, governments of all colours are weak along with the mainstream media.
Criminals have more rights than hard working honest people these days, that’s for sure. Catch a criminal and pin him to the ground and you will be charged with assault.
Hope they get it back. Very lucky to get the police to care. Most get a crime number and a shrug of the shoulders.
