Volunteers from Ryde Inshore Rescue were called into actions yesterday (Monday) when a motorboat lost engine power whilst out on the Solent.
Solent Coastguard requested the launch of Ryde Rescue 1 lifeboat from Appley at 15:31.
Once on the water the lifeboat crew located the 25ft casualty vessel and quickly established a tow.
The motorboat and its crew, who were safe and uninjured, were towed to a port of safety.
Ryde Rescue 1 returned to the boathouse at 17:30.
