MORE ADVERSE WEATHER ON THE WAY WITH WIND WARNING IN PLACE FOR SATURDAY

Local weather forecasters IW Met Service have issued a yellow weather warning for strong winds between 10:00 and 23:00 tomorrow (Saturday).

A spell of strong southwesterly winds will reach severe gale force strength through the daytime and into the evening. Gusts of 60-65mph are likely in exposed locations and 50-55mph elsewhere.

Islanders are being warned that wind damage is possible across the Isle of Wight with disruption to travel also a possibility. There is likely to be some delays on cross-Solent travel.

Why do they keep calling it adverse weather ?
It is not .
It’s just normal winter weather .

True but the problem with that is that its now spring! Also the word adverse means bad or unfavorable and it has hardly been good weather so “adverse” would be the correct word to use.
