Red Funnel has announced that it will reinstate night-time crossings on its East Cowes-Southampton route, which were previously removed to accommodate works taking place at its East Cowes Ferry Terminal. Effective from today (Saturday), the following previously removed vehicle ferry crossing times will be reinstated on Red Funnel’s current timetable: Departing Southampton: 23:55 – (Saturday to Tuesday) Departing Southampton: 03:00 – (Monday to Wednesday) Departing East Cowes: 01:30 – (Sunday to Wednesday) The change comes about as the repair and upgrade work to the Red Funnel’s mooring dolphins has progressed ahead of scheduled plans, which originally anticipated timetable adjustments through to 20th March. Contractors will remain on site in East Cowes until Sunday 3rd March to complete the final elements of the project works, however, this activity can take place without an impact to service. Any customers who would find it more convenient to travel on one of the reinstated crossings are invited to get in touch with Red Funnel’s Contact Centre team at 023 8001 9192. The team will assist with adjusting bookings without any amendment fees.

Can we get the people that did the work to do all the work for island roads as they never complete anything on time. Are they any good at fixing traffic lights?
Anyone else not received a book of vouchers yet now that the previous ones have expired?
I take it island roads didn’t have any thing to do with it if it’s finished before time. And I bet it will still be there in twenty years or more.
Why do you need mooring for non- existent boats
