MIDDLE ROAD CLOSED FOLLOWING ROAD TRAFFIC COLLISION

Emergency services are attending a road traffic collision near Calbourne tonight (Monday) – which has forced the closure of Calbourne Road (The Middle Road).

The incident is said to have occurred between Calbourne and Swainston Manor and as such, Southern Vectis’ Route 7 buses are now on diversion.

The 23.07 bus from Calbourne to Alum Bay has been delayed by 10-15 minutes whilst they divert the bus away from the area to reach Calbourne.

Motorists are advised to divert locally.

And if they were not supposed to be out, fine them £1000. The police are stretched to braking point as it is without dealing with this. I was out early for a walk Monday before the Zombies came out to play. The cars were driving very fast everywhere. And I mean very fast.
