MEGAN AND PORTIA QUALIFY FOR HORSE OF THE YEAR SHOW IN BIRMINGHAM

Islander Megan Champney and her pony Penrock Perfect Puzzle have qualified for the 2024 Horse of the Year Show. Megan and her pony, who is also known as Portia, qualified for the national final which will take place at the NEC Arena in Birmingham in October. The duo booked their place at the recent TSR Premier Amateur Show in Coventry finishing top in the NN Pony class. It won’t be Megan and Portia’s first time at the HOYS however following their 4th-placed finish back in 2023. On that occasion, they also finished as the highest-placed amateur. Before October, Portia and Megan are off to the 2024 Royal International Horse Show at Hickstead in July. They will compete in the Skewbald & Piebald ridden plaited pony class at both events.
