The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has landed in the heart of Freshwater in the West Wight this morning (Monday).
Flying doctors and paramedics are understood to be assisting colleagues from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service with a medical emergency in the town.
The yellow and green helicopter has landed in the fields behind West Wight Sports and Community Centre off Moa Place.
UPDATE @ 10:45 – 1 patient – believed to be an elderly male – has been transferred to the awaiting helicopter and is being flown to a mainland hospital.
